i am for scoping out in the beginning (non priority features, to be confirmed based on feedback from users/researchers):

• this solo section
• the notifications section
• the feeds section

And we keep only those features as MVP requirements for the new interface:

• basic email/username/pwd auth
• posting and commenting
• rendering of markdown and latex
